Electric shock between classical music and electric psychedelia. Let's make a statement here. Sylvain Daniel is one of the finest instrumentalist, composer and music producer of the vibrant French scene. As an intrumentalist, he is today an highly requested bass player and brings his own sound, grooves and textures as well on the French most innovative and attractive jazz scene.
Pauca Meae is a modern musical transcription for electric band and string quartet of Les Contemplations, Hugo's most famous poems collection and most particularly the book IV, about the loss and grief of his daughter Léopoldine when Victor Hugo was aged 40. This music is deep, contemplative and moving, and it's a real and sincere honor for Kyudo to present this specific album as a first release.
