aAbbey Road remastered edition of Alan Parsons Project's iconic I Robot album, expanded with four bonus tracks.

The new Super Deluxe Edition features the original album on 2 LPS (45RPM) and CD + 70 bonus tracks across three CDs, comprising studio outtakes, B-sides, single edits and radio adverts. The Blu-ray features Dolby Atmos Mix and 5.1 Surround Sound Remix + a music video for ‘I Wouldn’t Want To Be Like You’ and an archive interview with Eric Woolfson. The box set also includes various memorabilia, including the original 1977 press folder (A1 poster, band biografphy, press photo, press release and postcard) and a large format hardcover book with interviews, lyrics and bonus track commentary.

The Alan Parsons Project’s I Robot stands as a defining chapter in the band's evolution—a concept‑driven studio album originally released on 8 July 1977. Conceived as a thematic exploration of humanity’s uneasy relationship with artificial intelligence, the album drew inspiration from Isaac Asimov’s Robot stories. Although direct adaptation rights were unattainable, the creators crafted a suitably abstract, evocative narrative of “the rise of the machine and the decline of man.”

Beneath its sleek, forward‑looking veneer, I Robot revealed artistic sophistication: recorded at Abbey Road Studios between December 1976 and March 1977, the record interwove progressive, art‑rock instrumentation with pop sensibility, all under Alan Parsons’ immaculate production and Eric Woolfson’s melodic direction.

Its release couldn’t have been timelier: coincident with the debut of Star Wars, the album’s futuristic artwork—with its iconic robot figure—captured the zeitgeist and helped propel it into mainstream success. Over the decades since then, I Robot has retained a special place in the band’s catalogue.
