Twilight Override

Jeff Tweedy, the prolific frontman of Wilco, unveils his fifth solo studio album, a sweeping, cinematic undertaking. "Twilight Override" is a meticulously crafted triple-disc opus recorded and produced entirely at his Chicago sanctuary, The Loft.

The creative impetus behind this massive undertaking was Tweedy’s confrontation with the “bottomless basket of rock bottom” that is the state of the World right now. The album is presented as three standalone chapters, unified to form a narrative arc that spans past, present, and future.

In his own words: “When you choose to do creative things, you align yourself with something that other people call God... Creativity eats darkness... Twilight Override is my effort to overwhelm it right back.”

"Twilight Override" features contributions from Chicago-based collaborators and Tweedy’s own family: Spencer and Sammy Tweedy, James Elkington, Sima Cunningham, Macie Stewart, and Liam Kazar. Engineering and mixing were handled by Tom Schick, with mastering by Stephen Marsh. The tracklist includes standout tracks from recent live sets like “Feel Free,” “Enough,” and “Lou Reed Was My Babysitter.”
