Navigating Your (Love) Life While Queer and Black: A User Guide To Interracial Relationships
Mefire Diallo
The increased visibility of the Black Lives Matter movement along with the events that happened last year had a significant impact on my life as a Black Queer woman. Weirdly enough, it also made me realize that the relationship I was in for almost two years needed to end. In fact, I had been compartmentalizing myself especially my Blackness but also my Queerness to mitigate arguments in my relationship.
Navigating Your (Love) Life While Queer & Black is a self-help book/memoire in which I use my personal experience with the intention of supporting Black folks who are in romantic interracial relationships. White folks you can read it too!
This book is my awakening journey of self-love, where I demand both respect and celebration of my melanin. I deserve to be loved for who I am:
A Black Queer Woman, and so do you.
