Micro-capillary Icp-ms Technique for Corrosion Investigations: Development of a Microflow-capillary Set-up Online Hyphenated to the Icp-ms for the Spatial- and Time-resolved Corrosion Investigations
Nadzeya Homazava
This work is focused on a development of a novel analytical set-up for element specific, spatial- and time-resolved in situ analysis of local corrosion processes. The novel technique is based on the online coupling of a microflow-capillary system to an inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICP-MS) using online flow injection (FI) sample introduction. Additionally, a three electrode set-up with electrochemical control is adapted to the microflow-capillary FI-ICP-MS setup for simultaneous chemical and electrochemical characterization of corrosion processes.
