"With not much else to be occupied with, having no movie theater, bowling alley, and only a weekly newspaper, it was the small farming community's main entertainment, and then all for the most part supported the school. They looked forward to all the young people's endeavors. There was always something going on, but the real and foremost interest was the games the boys played. Football in the fall, basketball in the winter, baseball in the spring. The young boys were likened to young lords while they played these games."
