Blackberries Got No Thorns: At the end of WWII Webster Allen Sloan, a teen-aged Psychopath in the hills of North East Georgia decides he is going to be the biggest bootlegger in the county. He accidentally kills his father, watches his mother die and fathers a child each by his sister and a hired black nanny. In his quest he brutalizes those around him and in the end as he reaches the pinnacle his past brutalities catch up with him. Not only a chilling look into a Sociopaths mind but an excellent tableau depicting the hill folks way of life in lower Appalachia in the post WWII years.
