The Lily of the Valley: a Play in Five Acts
Arthur De Beauplan
The Lily of the Valley revolves around three people-Henriette, her much older and self-centered husband, the Count, and Félix, a young man with whom she has fallen in love. All are essentially decent people, and Félix genuinely loves Henriette and likes her sometimes difficult husband, who in turn appreciates them both. But a platonic relationship cannot be sustained forever. The only question is: which of the ménage à troi will be the first to crack under the strain?
