Die Verwantschaftsverhaltnisse der indogermanischen Sprachen: And Uber die Lautgesetze: Gegen die Junggrammatiker - Cambridge Library Collection - Linguistics

Reissued here together, these two works on Indo-European sound theories by the German linguists Johannes Schmidt and Hugo Schuchardt were originally published in 1872 and 1885 respectively. Schmidt and Schuchardt were proponents of the 'wave model' of language change, in opposition to the sound laws of the Neogrammarians.
